SMS Template

This full-screen dialog edits a single SMS message template — see Message & Branding Templates for where it fits among your other templates.

Name and Message

  • Name — the template's name (up to 50 characters), shown in the toolbar title and required before saving.
  • Language tabs, one per language configured for your organisation, switch the Message field below between them.
  • Message — the SMS text for the selected language (up to 1600 characters). At least one language needs message text before the template can be saved.

Placeholders

The braces icon inside the Message field opens a menu of dynamic placeholders — client details such as name or phone number, and booking details such as resource, treatment, date and time. Picking one inserts it at the cursor position.

Saving and Closing

Save stays disabled until you have made a change, given the template a name, and entered message text for at least one language. Closing the dialog (the X in the toolbar) asks you to confirm if you have unsaved changes, then discards them; otherwise it closes immediately. Without the configuration-write permission, the dialog opens read-only and Save is hidden.

Deleting a Template

For an existing template, the trash icon in the toolbar marks the template for deletion. Once marked, a warning banner appears and the form below is locked (dimmed and not editable) until you save; saving then removes the template. Click the trash icon again to unmark it. Like Save, the trash icon only appears with the configuration-write permission.
