Generate Sessions
Use the Generate dialog to create many session slots at once for one week, with shared visibility and bookability settings. Open it with the Generate button in the scheduler toolbar. The button is available only in the Week and Work week views, and the sessions it creates are for the week currently shown.
Choosing the Session
At the top, the Session selector sets which session the new slots belong to. If your organisation has only one session resource, it is already selected.
Visibility and Bookability
The Visibility & bookability section controls how the generated sessions appear in the booking calendar and when clients can book them:
- Visibility — Public, Hidden, Private or Restricted.
- Bookability — Bookable now, Not bookable, or Bookable from date. Choosing Bookable from date reveals a date field.
- Display — Full details or Coming soon (masked).
When visibility is Restricted, an Eligible groups selector appears where you choose which member groups may book. This requires a group membership field to be configured for your organisation — otherwise a hint is shown in its place. If you combine Restricted with Bookable from date, you can also add early-access tiers with Add early-access tier: each tier names its Early-access groups and an Early-access lead (days), opening booking for those groups that many days before the general opening date.
Building the Schedule
Each schedule row defines a set of weekdays and a start time:
- Tick the weekdays the session should run.
- Set the Starts at time. The session length comes from the session resource.
- The add button creates another row, pre-filled to start where the previous row ends; the delete icon removes a row.
Rows whose times overlap on a shared weekday are rejected with an error when you save.
Sessions are generated for every matching weekday in the displayed week. Time slots that already contain a session are skipped; other appointments in the same slot do not prevent generation.
Existing Appointments
If the selected session already has appointments in the displayed week, they are listed under Existing appointments with their date, time, state (Planned or Active) and visibility settings. Select rows to act on them in bulk:
- Apply to selected stamps the dialog's current visibility and bookability settings onto the selected sessions.
- Delete selected removes them. Sessions that already have participants are marked Has participants and cannot be deleted.
Saving
Click the save icon to generate the sessions. They are created as Planned: they appear in the calendar with a dashed outline but cannot be booked yet. Activate them in the scheduler — with the tick on each entry or Activate all in the toolbar — to make them bookable. To discard planned sessions instead, use the cancel icon on an entry, or Remove all planned in the toolbar to discard all of them at once.
