Create a treatment
A treatment is a bookable service — something a client can book that has a duration and, when you sell it, a price. It is one half of online booking: your resources say who is available, your treatments say what they can be booked for. This guide walks you from an empty editor to a live service, using one worked example: a 60-minute massage at CHF 120, offered both in person and over video.
Open the treatment editor
Go to Treatments and click Add treatment (the plus button). The editor opens full-screen with two tabs, Treatment and Fields. Everything below lives on the Treatment tab; the Fields tab is for checkout questions and comes last.
Set the status, name and slug
At the top is the online/offline switch. A new treatment starts Offline, meaning it is hidden from clients — leave it there until the rest is filled in, then flip it to Online to publish. Only online treatments can be booked.
Enter the Name (required, up to 50 characters). For our example, type 60-Minute Deep Tissue Massage. Next to it is an optional Slug, the short code used in web links — it accepts only letters, digits, hyphens and underscores, up to 50 characters. Type deep-tissue-60, or leave it blank. You cannot save until both the Name and the Duration are filled in.
Choose the appointment types
Use the Appointment types toggle to say how the service is delivered: Physical, Video, or Both. For our massage, pick Both — it will be bookable in the studio or as a video consultation. This toggle is hidden for group organisations, which do not set a per-treatment scope.
When a treatment supports Both, the client sees a physical/video choice on the booking page; a Physical-only or Video-only treatment shows no choice.
Set the duration
Enter the Duration in minutes (minimum 1). Type 60. This is the block of time reserved in the scheduler whenever the treatment is booked — a 60-minute massage holds a 60-minute slot.
Note the cascade: if resources already offer this treatment, changing its duration, appointment types or online/offline status flows through to every one of those resources — change these deliberately on a live service. Marking a treatment for deletion cascades the same way, taking it offline everywhere it is offered.
Add the price and VAT
The Price, VAT rate and Price description fields appear only when the Payments module is enabled for your organisation. If your organisation does not sell online, you will not see them at all, and you can skip to the next step.
With Payments on, enter a Price of 120 and pick the VAT rate from the toggle. The rates offered here are your organisation's own configured rates, shown as percentages — for a Swiss standard-rate service, choose 8.1%. (For a new treatment, the first configured rate is pre-selected for you.)
Add descriptions, texts, images and tags
Two optional short labels (up to 50 characters each) sit alongside the numbers: a Duration description — set it to Full body — and, when Payments is on, a Price description — set it to incl. consultation. These display next to the raw figures on the booking page.
Below them, the multi-language Texts editor lets you write a description in each of your organisation's languages. Add a profile image and an optional panorama image, and any Tags you want for grouping and search (for example massage, wellness).
Add checkout fields, then save
Switch to the Fields tab if you want to collect extra information when this treatment is booked — tick Use field for each one and drag to order them. These come from your organisation's shared field catalogue.
Back in the toolbar, click Save. Closing the editor without saving discards everything.
To remove an existing treatment later, open it and click the delete icon in the toolbar to mark it for deletion. The form locks and shows a warning banner confirming the mark. Click Save to confirm — the treatment is soft-deleted, not erased. Click the delete icon again before saving to unmark it.
Make it bookable
A treatment on its own is a menu item with no one to perform it. To put it in front of clients, open the resource who offers it, go to that resource's Treatments tab, and tick this treatment. There you also choose whether to Show duration and Show price on the booking card.
That completes the booking chain your customer walks in reverse: on the booking page they pick a resource, then the treatment it offers, then an available slot. Set the status to Online, link it to at least one resource, and your 60-minute massage is live.
Price and VAT fields require the Payments module; the appointment-type toggle is hidden for group organisations. Creating and editing treatments requires configuration write access.
