Microsoft Exchange Calendar

Connect a resource to a Microsoft Exchange mailbox so that appointments stay in sync between go flow and the resource's Exchange calendar.

Before you start

  • The Integration tab only appears for certain resource types; it is not shown for every resource.
  • Integrations can only be added to a resource that has already been saved. For a new resource, the Integration tab shows "You need to save the resource before you add an external account!" until you save it.
  • Each calendar provider can be connected once per resource; once an Exchange account is connected, Exchange no longer appears in the add menu.
  • The Exchange server must be Exchange 2016 or later.

Connecting an account

  1. Open the resource's Integration tab.
  2. Click the plus button and choose exchange.
  3. Enter the mailbox details:
    • Exchange URL — the Exchange Web Services address of your mailbox, in the format https://[your provider URL]/EWS/Exchange.asmx.
    • Email — the mailbox email address.
    • Password — the mailbox password.
  4. Click Verify account to check the credentials.

If the credentials cannot be verified, the dialog shows "Your entries could not be verified, please check!" — correct the entries and try again. On success, the account is added to the resource's integration list; the password and URL are not shown again.

Sync settings

Once connected, the integration appears on the Integration tab with two controls:

  • Sync is on / Sync is off — turn calendar synchronisation on or off. Syncing can take more than five minutes to start after switching it on, and up to 30 minutes to stop after switching it off. The first sync covers appointments from one week back onwards and can take up to ten minutes to complete; a new sync can only be started 30 minutes after the previous one.
  • Delete behaviour — what happens in Exchange when an appointment is removed: No action, Move to bin, or Delete Permanently.

Removing the connection

  1. Tick Delete on save on the integration.
  2. Save the resource.

The Exchange account is disconnected.
