Exchange integration ​

A standard resource's Integration tab can store a Microsoft Exchange mailbox. The calendar synchronisation it was meant for was retired on 2026-10-01 and never ran in production. go flow does not synchronise with Exchange: the tab only checks and stores mailbox details.

What go flow does not do ​

  • It does not copy appointments or dated sessions to the Exchange calendar.
  • It does not read busy times from Exchange: an Exchange entry does not block a time on the booking site.
  • It does not change or delete anything in Exchange when a booking is cancelled.

Keep staff calendars in step outside go flow, for example by checking Scheduler. Use the resource's availability rules and out-of-office to control which times customers can book.

What the tab still stores ​

  • Verify account connects to the Exchange server once to check the Exchange URL, Email and Password. On success it stores the address, the mailbox email and the password, encrypted. The URL and password are not shown again.
  • The connection then appears as a row with the mailbox address, a Sync is on / Sync is off checkbox and a Delete behaviour choice (No action, Move to bin, Delete Permanently). Both are saved with the resource, but nothing uses them.
  • The connection dialog still shows hint text about Exchange 2016, sync start times and a first sync. That text describes the retired feature and no longer applies.

Remove a stored connection ​

The stored mailbox password is not used for anything, so removing existing connections is recommended. You need Manage for Configuration & settings.

  1. Open the resource from Resources and go to its Integration tab.
  2. Click the delete icon on the connection's row (tooltip Mark for deletion). No confirmation is asked; the row is marked.
  3. Save the resource.

The row is removed when you save. Clicking the icon again before saving unmarks the row and leaves it set to Sync is off.

If you connect an account anyway ​

The steps still work, but nothing is synchronised afterwards.

  • The resource must be saved first. On a new resource the tab shows "You need to save the resource before you add an external account!".
  • Each resource can hold one Exchange connection; once one exists, the add menu no longer offers exchange.
  1. On the Integration tab, click the plus button and choose exchange.
  2. Enter the Exchange URL (an https:// address in the format https://[your provider URL]/EWS/Exchange.asmx), the mailbox Email and its Password. Verify account becomes available once the URL has at least 9 characters, the email address is valid and the password has at least 9 characters.
  3. Click Verify account.

If the details cannot be verified, or the URL is not an https:// address or names a local or private IP address, the dialog shows "Your entries could not be verified, please check!".
