Promotions

The promotions page manages the promotional content of the selected organisation. It has three tabs: Announcements — styled banners shown on your public booking site; Discounts — codes clients enter at checkout for a price reduction; and Pricing promotions — automatic early-bird and last-minute pricing rules. Editing on any tab requires the config-write permission; without it the page is read-only. For what all three look like to your clients on the booking site, see Promotions in online booking.

Announcements

An announcement is a styled, time-limited banner shown to clients. It carries no discount configuration at all — it is purely informational; discount codes and pricing rules live on the other two tabs.

The tab lists your announcements with Name, Online, Icon, Valid from and Valid until columns. The search box filters the list by name. Click Add announcement to create one, or the eye icon on a row to edit it — both open the announcement editor, where you set the banner's name, validity dates, icon, texts, colours and image. The editor is described on the Announcement banner help page.

Clients only see announcements that are online and within their validity dates.

Discounts

Discount codes give clients a percentage or fixed price reduction when they enter the code during online checkout. There is no editing dialog: the tab is an inline-editable table, and each row saves as soon as you change a field.

Each row has Code, Valid from, Valid until, Max uses, Max value, Discount type, Discount value, Sessions and Client groups columns. Click Add discount to add a row, and the delete icon at the end of a row to remove a code immediately. The columns are explained on the Discount codes help page. Note that the Client groups restriction is not yet enforced at checkout — a group-restricted code is currently accepted for any client — so do not rely on it for member-only pricing until enforcement ships.

Pricing promotions

Pricing promotions change the price automatically depending on when a booking is made — no code involved.

At the top of the tab, two cards — Early-bird and Last-minute — hold the Header and Description texts used to present each kind of offer to clients. They save when you leave the field.

Below is a table of pricing rules, edited inline like the discounts — each row saves on change. A rule consists of:

  • TypeEarly-bird or Last-minute. An early-bird rule rewards booking ahead: it applies when a session is booked at least the lead number of days before it starts, and the reduced price is applied automatically on the booking site. A last-minute rule is the mirror image: it applies when a session is booked within the lead number of hours of the start, and the reduced price is applied automatically in the same way.
  • Lead — the number of days (early-bird) or hours (last-minute) that triggers the rule.
  • Day and time windows — by default a rule applies Always. Click the button to open the Day and time windows dialog, a grid of weekdays and two-hour time blocks, and restrict the rule to particular days and times; pick the cells and use the dialog's save button. With windows set, the button in the table reads Custom.
  • Discount type and Discount value% percent or Fixed, and the size of the reduction.
  • Sessions and Client groups — optional restrictions. Leave Sessions empty to cover all sessions, and Client groups empty to cover all clients; the group select is only available when your organisation has a group membership field configured.

Click Add rule to add a rule, and the delete icon to remove one immediately.
